Chapter 243: Cooperation II

Chapter 243: Cooperation II

With the channels of a higher level civilization, lower level civilization could develop much faster, while the higher level civilization would also benefit in return.

Through cooperation, both side could gradually deepen their understanding of one another. When the time was right, it would become natural for the lower level civilization to be incorporated as a subordinate civilization. Of course, if the lower level civilization displayed astonishing potential, becoming an allied civilization was also entirely possible.

Higher level civilization often possessed numerous subordinate civilizations.

Naturally, not every lower level civilization was worth of attention from a higher level civilization. At the very least, their ranking on the Civilization Pillar usually needed to be within the top thousand.

Although Blue Star Civilization’s ranking wasn’t particularly high, Noah’s overwhelming strength and his willingness to casually bring out a Legendary item had deeply impressed Valdrik. He was very optimistic about Blue Star Civilization and naturally didn’t mind building a friendship with them while offering some assistance.

Noah quietly breathed a sigh of relief before immediately stating some of his requirements.

The most important thing was, naturally, skills.

He still had several empty skill slots remaining.

The overall progress of the Awakeners on Blue Star was still too low. Perfect-grade items simply didn’t exist on the market, and even Rare-grade items were extremely limited. As for exceptionally rare abilities such as Mind-type or Will-type skills, not only were their drop rates absurdly low, but their quality was usually at least Rare Grade. Such skills were practically impossible to find on Blue Star.

However, when looking across the All Heavens and Myriad Realms, the situation was entirely different.

Noah wasn’t seeking skills of excessively high quality. Skills of that level would undoubtedly be unimaginably expensive—far beyond what he could currently afford—and it was unlikely anyone would even put them up for sale.

What he mainly wanted were Rare-grade and Perfect-grade skills.

For example, a Rare-grade Mind-type skill might not be highly valued by a higher-level civilization. After all, the quality ceiling of a Rare-grade skill was fixed. No matter how useful it was, its potential remained limited, and learning it would merely waste a precious skill slot.

Valdrik wasn’t surprised by Noah’s interest in Rare-grade skills. He simply assumed Noah intended to purchase them for the geniuses within Blue Star Civilization.

For a First-Level Civilization, Rare-grade items were still extremely important.

Of course, Noah was undoubtedly an exception, and Valdrik never even considered the possibility that Noah intended to buy those skills for his own use.

Aside from skills, Noah also had several other requirements, all of which Valdrik carefully noted down one by one.

...

After the discussion concluded, both of them relaxed considerably.

Out of curiosity, Noah began asking a few questions about the Great Wilderness Civilization.

As for those matters, Valdrik didn’t hide anything that wasn’t considered confidential.

It had already been more than three hundred years since the Great Wilderness Civilization became an Awakened World.

To those powerful Extraordinary Worlds, such a span of time was merely the blink of an eye. But for an Awakened World, it was already considered quite a long history.

After all, far too many Awakened Worlds failed to survive even three years.

Valdrik himself was only in his twenties this year, yet he was already a Fifth-Order expert Awakener.

Clearly, at his age, the first clears of Instance Dungeons had nothing to do with him, and all the Advancement Instances he had completed were only on Ordinary difficulty.

Of course, "Ordinary" did not mean easy.

Even within the Great Wilderness Civilization—a Level 4 Civilization—there were still many Awakeners trapped at the Fourth and Fifth Orders.

The Great Wilderness Civilization was not like Blue Star Civilization, where people were stuck simply because the Fifth-Order Instance Dungeon had not yet been unlocked. Given Valdrik’s age and current strength, he should have already surpassed the Fifth Order by now.

However, Valdrik had always held himself to extremely high standards. The Trial Instances he cleared were all completed on the highest difficulty, which naturally slowed down his progression.

Precisely because of this, along with the powerful Combat Arts he gradually displayed, Valdrik stood out among countless competitors and eventually became the fourth Child of Civilization of the Great Wilderness Civilization.

He was the fourth current Child of Civilization, but not merely the fourth person in history to hold that title.

Battles against Disasters were extraordinarily dangerous.

And for a Level 4 Civilization, the Disasters they faced were naturally far more terrifying.

Even a Child of Civilization could not guarantee their own survival.

In fact, throughout the Great Wilderness Civilization’s history spanning more than three hundred years, quite a number of Children of Civilization had already fallen.

A Child of Civilization had fallen.

Noah wasn’t particularly surprised by this. After all, hadn’t the Child of Civilization of the Purple Profound Civilization been killed by someone from the Bai Feng Civilization?

As a Fifth-Order expert, Valdrik’s ability to become a Child of Civilization was naturally related to the fact that the Great Wilderness Civilization was a Level 4 Civilization and possessed a Civilization Lord.

Higher-level civilizations were fundamentally different from lower-level civilizations.

Generally speaking, in a lower-level civilization, the Child of Civilization was usually the strongest individual within that civilization. However, in higher-level civilizations, things were different because the Civilization Lord had the authority to appoint the Child of Civilization directly.

It was similar to how an emperor of a mortal dynasty appointed a crown prince.

These Children of Civilization were not necessarily the strongest in terms of current power. Some possessed astonishing talent and terrifying potential instead. As long as they didn’t fall prematurely, their future achievements would undoubtedly be extraordinary.

And becoming a Child of Civilization allowed them to grow and develop more effectively.

In Noah’s opinion, Valdrik was most likely able to become the fourth Child of Civilization of the Great Wilderness Civilization because of his exceptionally powerful Combat Art.

After all, it was far from easy from easy for a Fifth Order expert to reach 200th floor of the Sky Piercing Tower.

Of Course, Valdrik and Noah had only just met, so Valdrik naturally wouldn’t reveal too many details about himself.

Likewise, Noah relied on the information he had gathered, combined with Valdrik’s words, to piece together and deduce the conclusions he had just reached.
