Chapter 481 Breaking Through to the Eternal Realm to Avoid My Student Loans
Chapter 481 Breaking Through to the Eternal Realm to Avoid My Student Loans
A nearby cultivator looked at them with disgust, as if they were nothing more than pests that had crawled out of a gutter.
Without hesitation, he raised his hand.
"Go!"
Four streaks of sword light shot through the air with terrifying speed.
"NOOOO!"
The rats screamed, not because they feared death itself, but because they feared the pain that came with it.
Too late.
Puchi! Puchi! Puchi! Puchi!
Their tiny bodies were sliced cleanly apart in an instant, without even the chance to resist.
The force of the attack shattered them completely, scattering their forms across the ground.
Silence followed.
"...I regret living a criminal life," one rat muttered weakly as consciousness faded.
"...Me too, boss," another replied.
"...Me too."
"...See you later, everyone."
Their voices grew softer as life left their bodies. However, none of them truly panicked.
Because deep down, they all knew the truth. They would come back again.
Somewhere, sometime later, those broken bodies would once again reform under the mysterious power that bound them to Lin Feng’s will.
And when that happened, they would return to suffering... all over again.
"Where is everyone?"
The leading rat stood on top of a broken brick, his tiny black nose twitching nervously as he looked around.
The streets outside Spirit Spring Academy were crowded with cultivators rushing back and forth, yet his three companions had somehow disappeared again.
"I’m here, boss!" a squeaky voice called out from beneath a cart wheel.
"Coming!" another shouted while dragging along half a steamed bun nearly larger than his body.
"Hurry up!" the boss rat hissed impatiently. "Do you want us to become roasted rat meat before we even find Master Lin Feng?"
The third rat finally came running over while panting heavily.
"Boss... this academy is terrifying. I just saw a man flying on a sword while carrying seven beautiful women in his arms."
The boss rat rolled his eyes. "Focus on the mission!"
The four quickly regrouped together. Despite their fear, their little eyes shone with determination.
They had finally discovered that Lin Feng was staying within Spirit Spring Academy.
As long as they could meet him, perhaps they could finally return to their human forms again.
"Let’s go!"
The four rats charged forward together.
However, the moment they approached Lin Feng’s courtyard, they immediately froze in horror.
The place was absolutely packed.
Thousands of cultivators crowded the area so densely that not even water could flow through the gaps between them.
Young geniuses from powerful clans stood proudly with their swords on their backs.
Beautiful female cultivators gathered in groups while secretly fixing their hair and robes.
Elders with powerful auras floated calmly in the sky while discussing profound Dao principles.
The entire courtyard radiated spiritual light like a holy land.
"By the heavens..." one rat muttered blankly. "There are even more people than yesterday."
"How are we supposed to get through that?" another asked with despair.
The boss rat gritted his tiny teeth. "Even if we have to crawl between their legs, we must meet Master Lin Feng!"
The three other rats immediately nodded seriously.
Then the four tiny creatures began squeezing through the crowd.
Unfortunately for them, cultivators possessed extremely sharp senses.
A young man suddenly looked downward and frowned.
"Hmm? Rats?"
His expression instantly darkened.
"Rats! You dare dirty Master Lin Feng’s sacred residence?!"
The surrounding cultivators immediately became furious as well.
"How disgusting!"
"Kill them immediately!"
"Such filthy creatures actually dared approach Master Lin Feng’s domain?"
One cultivator coldly waved his sleeve. "Go, my flying swords!"
Whoosh!
Several sharp swords shot through the air like lightning bolts.
Terrifying sword qi sliced apart the ground itself.
The four rats screamed in terror.
"Boss save me! I’m tired of dying!"
Puchi!
Before they could even finish speaking, the four tiny bodies exploded into bloody mist.
Bits of fur scattered everywhere. The surrounding cultivators snorted disdainfully.
"Hmph. Mere rats."
"Serves them right."
"They should feel honored to die by my sword technique."
Soon, the crowd forgot about the matter entirely. Everyone returned to discussing Lin Feng excitedly.
But only a few minutes later...
At the edge of the courtyard, four tiny rats suddenly crawled out from behind a stone wall again.
The cultivators nearest to them froze. Soon, more cultivators noticed them.
"The four rats are back!"
"What? Impossible!"
"Aren’t these the same rats from earlier?"
"I think so. Rats don’t repeatedly gather in groups of exactly four."
The crowd instantly became noisy.
Many cultivators narrowed their eyes suspiciously.
Some even activated spiritual vision techniques to inspect the rats more carefully.
"There’s definitely something strange about them."
"Perhaps they’re mutated spirit beasts."
"No... their souls feel odd."
"Could someone secretly be controlling them?"
The four rats became nervous after hearing the discussions around them.
"Boss... they’re staring at us again," one rat whispered fearfully.
The boss swallowed hard. "Pretend to act normal."
"How does a rat act normal?!"
Before they could escape, another cultivator sneered coldly.
"Hmph. Whether they’re strange or not, they’re still just rats."
Boom!
He stomped his foot lightly. Spiritual pressure descended like a mountain.
Puchi!
The four rats instantly exploded again.
Blood and fur splattered across the ground.
The surrounding cultivators stared carefully this time instead of ignoring it.
A few minutes later...
Scratch. Scratch.
The exact same four rats slowly emerged from another corner.
Silence instantly fell across the area.
Even the wind seemed to stop.
"...They revived again."
"No injuries."
"Not even weaker than before."
"This is impossible."
At this point, even powerful elders floating in the sky began paying attention. Their eyes shone with interest.
One old cultivator stroked his beard thoughtfully. "Fascinating. These rats possess some kind of immortal characteristic."
Another elder narrowed his eyes. "Could they have consumed a heavenly treasure?"
"No ordinary demon beast can revive endlessly."
The surrounding cultivators instantly became excited.
Immortality.
That single word alone was enough to drive countless cultivators mad with greed.
"Capture them!" someone suddenly shouted.
"Don’t kill them this time!"
"Yes! Catch them alive!"
