Chapter 504 Mommy’s Here
Chapter 504 Mommy’s Here
The private jet finally began its descent.
Liam looked at it as it cut through the sky before gradually lowering toward the runway. The engines roared loudly across the airport and for the first time in nearly ten minutes, he felt genuine relief.
Finally.
Maybe now Ann and Lana would stop treating him like some kind of criminal mastermind who secretly spent his free time trying to look through walls.
The two women were still standing behind him.
Watching him.
Suspiciously.
For absolutely no reason.
Liam shook his head and started walking forward before either of them could continue the interrogation.
The moment he stepped out from beneath the canopy, a cool breeze brushed against his coat. His long dark coat swayed lightly around his legs as he strode forward confidently, his hands buried in his pockets and his sunglasses hiding most of his expression.
Behind him, Ann narrowed her eyes.
"Look at him."
Lana glanced over.
"What?"
"He thinks he’s cool."
Lana nodded.
"He does."
Liam ignored them both.
The jet’s wheels touched the runway moments later and gradually rolled toward the private section of the airport. Within minutes it came to a stop.
Airport staff immediately moved into position.
The cabin door opened.
A few seconds passed.
Then the stairs slowly unfolded.
Liam stood still.
A smile was already forming on his face.
The first thing to appear was a black boot stepping onto the stairs.
Then a long leather-clad leg.
Then another.
And finally the owner revealed herself completely.
Lilith.
Her long golden-blonde hair danced wildly in the wind as she descended the stairs. She wore dark shades over her eyes and a fitted black jacket over her leather trousers. Even dressed casually she carried herself like royalty. Every movement was confident and graceful without needing to try.
Several people nearby couldn’t help glancing toward her.
Some looked twice.
Others looked three times.
She was simply impossible to ignore.
At first her expression was calm.
Relaxed.
Then she saw Liam.
Immediately a beautiful smile appeared on her face.
The change was instant.
The dangerous aura around her softened and her eyes practically lit up behind her shades.
Liam chuckled.
"Here we go."
He had barely finished speaking before Lilith reached the bottom of the stairs.
She spread her arms wide.
Liam naturally stepped forward.
What happened next completely caught him off guard.
Instead of a normal hug, Lilith wrapped both arms around him and effortlessly lifted him off the ground.
The entire airport seemed to freeze.
Liam froze too.
Ann froze.
Lana froze.
Even some of the people exiting the jet paused.
It was such a ridiculous sight.
Liam stood over six feet tall.
Lilith was shorter than him.
Yet somehow she was carrying him like he weighed absolutely nothing.
His feet dangled in the air.
For several seconds.
Ann immediately lost control.
She burst out laughing.
Lana wasn’t any better.
She pressed a hand against her scarf trying to hide her laughter.
It didn’t work.
Liam felt embarrassment wash through his body.
"What are you doing, Lilith?" he groaned.
Unfortunately his voice sounded strained.
Mainly because Lilith was hugging the life out of him.
She ignored him completely.
Instead she squeezed harder.
Liam genuinely felt his ribs protest.
Only after a few more seconds did she finally put him back down.
The moment his feet touched the ground, he straightened his coat and looked around as if nothing unusual had happened.
Unfortunately everyone had witnessed it.
Ann was still laughing.
Lana looked seconds away from joining her.
Lilith meanwhile seemed perfectly satisfied.
She removed her sunglasses.
Liam removed his too.
For a brief moment they simply looked at each other.
Then Lilith stepped forward again.
This time she leaned up and kissed him softly on the lips.
As she pulled away she whispered quietly.
"Mommy’s here."
Liam couldn’t help laughing.
Only Lilith could say something like that with a completely straight face.
"You haven’t changed at all."
"I know."
She sounded proud of that fact.
Then Liam’s attention shifted beyond her.
Several familiar figures were now descending from the jet.
Kelly came first.
Her rich mocha skin seemed to glow beneath the afternoon sunlight while her long dark hair flowed over her shoulders. She carried herself with quiet confidence and gave Liam a warm smile the moment their eyes met.
Behind her was Seo Yeon.
She looked exactly as calm and composed as always. Her long dark hair moved gently with the wind while her sharp eyes immediately scanned the surroundings out of habit.
Vanessa followed shortly after.
The blonde woman spotted Liam and immediately waved at him enthusiastically.
Then came Dickson.
The moment he saw Liam, he raised both hands dramatically.
"My glorious leader!"
Liam sighed.
There he was.
The loud one.
Dickson grinned even wider.
"Did you miss me?"
"No."
"You’re lying."
"I am not."
Dickson looked heartbroken.
For approximately one second.
Then he recovered immediately.
But it wasn’t them that caught Liam’s attention.
It was the two unfamiliar women walking down the stairs behind everyone else.
Liam frowned slightly.
He had never seen either of them before.
One had long dark hair while the other had lighter features. Both carried themselves confidently and neither looked nervous despite arriving in a completely foreign place.
His curiosity immediately spiked.
He looked toward Lilith.
Then back toward the girls.
Then toward Lilith again.
"Who are they?"
A mysterious smile appeared on Lilith’s beautiful face.
The kind of smile that usually meant trouble.
Or entertainment.
Possibly both.
Liam knew that smile.
Whenever Lilith smiled like that it meant she had been planning something.
"What?" Liam asked suspiciously.
Lilith folded her arms.
"Oh you’ll like this."
Now Liam was interested.
Very interested.
He looked between the two unfamiliar girls again.
Then back at Lilith.
A grin slowly spread across his face.
"What did I miss?"
Lilith’s smile widened even further.
Behind her, Kelly and Vanessa exchanged knowing glances.
Even Ann and Lana had become curious.
Something clearly happened while they were away.
And judging by everyone’s expressions, it wasn’t something small.
Whatever news Lilith was about to share, it had everyone’s attention.
And Liam had a feeling things were about to get very interesting.
