Chapter 1655 - 1216: You’re Only Sorry If You Hurt as Much as I Do
Chapter 1655 - 1216: You’re Only Sorry If You Hurt as Much as I Do
The Angel of Law immediately teleported to another position on the chessboard, but such weak evasion was destined to become a breakthrough for the Monster. The Blood Tide Sword Light condensed into two drops of blood that fell, setting off ripples of time and space reverberating within the Rain Curtain, where Dazzling Star and Sword Law transformed into the lake surface. The ripples folded into shimmering blood light, blood foam splashing, and they were instantly gravely injured!
This is the Supreme Technique "Crimson Water Moon" cast by the Sword Maiden, far beyond Ash’s poor imitation, with greater malice, more finesse, more casual, as if casually picking a flower in a garden, recklessly dominating life and death!
But what surprised the Angel of Law was not the Crimson Water Moon, but the boiling Battle Intent that strengthened this Wonder tenfold.
Under the flowing Starlight, Sword Law immediately recovered as before, their voice full of confusion: "When did you accumulate Battle Intent?"
"It wasn’t me who accumulated it." Sonia cradled the bloodied Ash in her arms, saying matter-of-factly, "He has been fighting you all in a life-and-death struggle till now, and the Battle Intent of you three was already absorbed by the Ancient Battlefield."
"This isn’t the second round, but a relay battle. Ash didn’t manage to kill you all, so it’s up to me to finish it."
But Dazzling Star remained unhurriedly calm, saying, "Even if you can harm us, we can heal infinitely. Everything you do is futile, ultimately turning into a battle of attrition between Secret Realms, but we have two World Secret Domains, while you have only one."
"Though it is a disgrace for the Angels of Law under the seat of the King to use the World Secret Domains in an attrition battle, it is a stain we cannot erase. But I believe, with the gifts of you and the Vice Monarch, when you become the shining stars of mage civilization, this shameful victory will become the most glorious honor of our lives."
The two Angels of Law resolved to turn to a defensive battle, using thousands of years of accumulated resources to deplete Ash and Sonia’s resources. Though the time might be prolonged, it was their only path to victory.
"I’ll repeat it, this isn’t the second round."
Sonia reached out to hold the third sword behind Ash, her tone full of impetuous arrogance: "It’s a relay battle."
"Ash’s Battle Intent, I can use it, Ash’s sword, I can also use!" She said coldly, "This sword is named, Angel Nemesis!"
Sonia’s hand seemed to inject life into the Mage Nemesis; the Sword Body appeared to flow with icy glass, so beautiful it was breathtaking. In the hands of the Mirror Demon and Ash, Mage Nemesis was an extreme and violent murder weapon, but in Sonia’s hands, it became a beautiful and fragile Magic Artifact. Perhaps because the Mirror Demon and Ash, despite their seemingly soft characters, harbored emotions like molten magma; but stubborn Sonia had to disguise herself with a hedgehog-like exterior to protect the sadness hidden deep within her heart.
But in the eyes of Dazzling Star and Sword Law, Sonia was not holding a sword but their Fate. Even the Dazzling Star capable of merging into the sea of stars at this moment felt a strong intuition of Death, with stars all over her body urging her to flee!
Without any hesitation, Sword Law and Dazzling Star shattered the Law Angel rings in their hands!
Before Sonia could swing the sword, a dazzling Starlight pierced through the three World Secret Domains, firmly enveloping the Angel of Law. The third sword dissipated like dew after Sonia swung it, but its devastating power caused the Sword Rain Pool and the Ocean of Stars to be on the brink of collapse—the Sword Rain Pool instantly lost half of its water, and one-third of the stars in the Ocean of Stars extinguished, clearing the Rain Curtain completely, and the world suddenly became refreshing.
In one stroke, all of sun, moon, and stars were cut down, just like this.
Dazzling Star and Sword Law both felt like a scythe grazed past their necks, narrowly escaping Death. If they hadn’t used the trump card left to them by the King, they might now have perished on earth.
Watching as the Ocean of Stars and Sword Rain Pool were withdrawn by them, Sonia asked, "Where do you plan to go?"
"Heaven." Sword Law chuckled bitterly, "If we want to come back to earth, it won’t be so easy."
"That’s fine," Sonia said calmly, "The five nations can return to Dazzling Star, I have no objection. But without my permission, not a single angel is allowed to come to earth, understand?"
"If you want to steal my man, let Dazzling Star come personally." She scoffed, "You no longer have the right to stand before us."
Sword Law was silent for a moment before speaking suddenly, "In the name of all beings in Dazzling Star, we will never disturb the peaceful life of your family."
"Threat? But it doesn’t matter." Sonia said coldly, "Right now, earth is at our disposal. If you do not announce your defeat, I’m more than happy to loot Dazzling Star’s treasury, to show them who they must be loyal to, who is the King they cannot offend."
"Congratulations to you and the Vice Monarch on successfully completing the Six-winged Trial." Dazzling Star bowed, the respectful tone hiding a trace of anger: "Then we shall welcome you to Heaven."
"We will go." Sonia lifted her chin proudly, "We won’t keep you waiting too long."
Finished with the final exchange of benefits, the two Angels of Law returned to the Seven Heavens with the World Secret Domain. Though they appeared to have lost nothing, they conceded earth to Ash and Sonia... unless Ash later became the Vice Monarch of the Heavenly Kingdom, there would be no reason to wash away the disgrace of returning like lost dogs.
Sonia withdrew the Ancient Battlefield, and at this moment she realized the rain outside had already stopped; the bright sunlight pierced through the clouds, generously gilding the earth in a warm gold.
She carried Ash to a nearby mountaintop, pressing her hand to his forehead, activating the time-healing Wonder "Jump" from Ash’s Heavenly Kingdom of Souls.
In an instant, Ash jumped back to when he was safe and sound, though he remained unconscious, lying limp in her embrace. Sonia wasn’t anxious, she let him rest on her lap, gazing out at her homeland’s mountains and rivers, while not especially grand and magnificent, sitting atop the highest cliff offered a serene and refreshing experience.
A moment later, Sonia felt Ash stir, she looked down to see Ash in a sleeping posture, but a line of clear tears slid across his nose dampening her dress. She cupped Ash’s face, gently kissing away his tear traces, gradually moving down to softly peck his lips several times, until Ash actively embraced her, and they became entwined like inseparable glue.
When they finally parted, Ash was already tear-stained, speaking in a hoarse voice, emotions a bit low: "Never thought you hated me this much..."
"Sometimes, that’s how it is; love someone too deeply, one gets intoxicated; hate someone too deeply, the heart breaks." Sonia kissed the tear stains on Ash’s face, laughter brimming in her eyes: "You’re finally heartbroken for me."
"I’m sorry." Ash took a deep breath, voice trembling: "I’m sorry."
Sonia wiped away his tears with her thumb, holding him in her arms, murmuring softly: "Like this...you need to feel as sad as I do for it to count as an apology."
