Chapter 799 - 798: Inviting Her Out
Chapter 799 - 798: Inviting Her Out
Felicity finds it hard to understand for a while, so Elliot waits for her to figure it out.
Elliot complies and follows Felicity with the store clerk outside. Felicity looks at herself in the mirror again, feeling more upset and growing more irritated with Elliot.
If she couldn’t find someone better, she wouldn’t marry him! Absolutely not!
As Felicity changes out of her wedding dress, her phone rings in the bag. She sees the familiar yet unfamiliar number and hesitates.
"Who are you looking for?"
Felicity picks it up, and Ethan’s voice comes from the other end.
"Ethan Grant."
It’s actually Ethan calling her.
Previously, June asked her to pursue Ethan, got his number for her, and she sent messages over, but Ethan never responded, let alone called her.
Why is Ethan contacting her now?
Wasn’t Serena awake?
Could it be that Ethan knows she’s going to marry Elliot and regrets it!
No matter how pretty Serena is, after all, she’s still a helpless person sitting in a wheelchair.
Suppressing her inner delight and nervousness, Felicity asks in a calm voice, "Mr. Grant, is there something you need from me?"
While she’s speaking, she hears Elliot and the store clerk praising her outside, making her voice soften a bit.
"Are you free tonight?" Ethan directly invites Felicity.
Felicity doesn’t immediately agree. She’s happy Ethan called, but she also knows that Ethan’s reason for contacting her may not truly be regret.
Perhaps, he’s calling for another reason.
What kind of reason?
Felicity can’t figure it out.
"I’m not free."
She thinks for a moment and declines.
"When will you be free? I’d like to meet you."
"Sorry," Felicity replies, "I have to deal with wedding matters with Elliot, so I’m quite busy these days."
She can’t figure out Ethan’s intention, so she hesitates to accept the invitation.
"Tomorrow night." Ethan mentions an address, not waiting for Felicity to decline further, he continues, "I’ll wait for you to come."
Finishing the sentence, Ethan hangs up and Felicity stares at the dimmed phone, thinking about Ethan’s invitation, she smiles and her mood improves.
"Felicity."
Elliot sees Felicity coming out smiling, noticing her mood has gotten much better.
"Did you like the wedding dress earlier?"
"If you don’t like it, we can pick another one."
"It’s nice." Felicity replies with a smile, but she wasn’t really paying attention to the wedding dress she tried on earlier.
If the man isn’t particularly desirable, it doesn’t matter how beautiful the wedding dress is.
Besides, the wedding dresses here are quite ordinary, nowhere near high-end custom-made ones, unworthy of her stature.
"Then we’ll go with this one." Elliot smiles and asks Felicity.
The exterior of this bridal shop looks somewhat shabby, not because the shop is bad, but because it’s been open for many years. The owner is busy crafting wedding dress designs, caring little about the external decor.
Elliot turns around to confirm the order of this dress with the store clerk, who lights up, addressing Felicity, "Felicity Sterling is truly lucky."
This is the store’s prized item, just the diamonds on the dress are worth a fortune, not to mention the entire wedding dress which their boss spent more than half a year personally stitching. It’s practically priceless.
Felicity glances at the store clerk who called her lucky, chuckling scornfully.
Just for a wedding dress, they get so excited, really not as classy as high-end boutiques.
"You deal with the wedding dress. I’m heading back first."
Felicity finishes speaking and turns to leave.
Elliot doesn’t get mad, watching Felicity’s departing figure, he turns back to instruct the clerk to deliver it to The Walsh Family.
By the time he exits the bridal shop, Felicity has already driven away. Elliot notices an electric bike parked by the roadside, scans it, and rides off.
