The Apostles didn’t seem afraid that the heroes were planning on fighting their way out.

It seemed like they were completely confident in their abilities to deal with the heroes.

"So they’re still young ones that haven’t developed as much. They’re much more rash than the older Apostles, even if they are stronger."

Which meant that there was something to exploit.

These heroes were ones that had lived on the battlefield for a long time, so the amount of experience that they possessed far surpassed what these Apostles had.

With this, they were able to formulate a plan even without saying anything.

It was different for the Apostles as they were still planning on using force to take down the heroes.

Before the Apostles could react, the heroes all moved together.

Some of them released large moves that could be considered powerful attacks, but that didn’t faze the Apostles at all. All of them easily gathered the black ooze to deal with the attacks that came their way.

None of these attacks were even able to scratch the black ooze that they had gathered as protection.

Only it wasn’t as if these attacks were meant to harm the Apostles in the first place.

These attacks were nothing more than distractions and they were made by the weakest among the heroes.

Though seeing that their attacks didn’t leave a scratch did hurt their pride a bit, even if they knew that this was what it was meant for in the first place.

Instead, the stronger heroes only had a single target.

All of them were targeting a single one of the Apostles.

The reason that they all targeted this one was because this Apostle had the weakest aura out of all the ones that were here. This one was the one that posed the least threat, so they wanted to take down this one Apostle before the others could react.

At the very least, they wanted to bring down one of the Apostles that appeared with them.

The Apostle didn’t say anything when it saw all of these heroes targeting it.

The only thing that this Apostle did was gather its power to block these attacks.

With the way that the Apostle acted, it seemed like it was confident in dealing with any attacks that came at it.

In the end, that proved to be the case as most of these attacks were stopped by the wall of black ooze that this Apostle condensed. It seemed like they just weren’t able to break through that wall.

Though they could see that it wasn’t as if their attacks hadn’t left any effect on the wall at all.

It had been blocked, but the wall was a bit thinner compared to before. They were still able to take off a layer of that wall with their attacks, even if they weren’t able to break through at all.

The Apostle looked like it was filled with confidence seeing this, but the heroes didn’t panic either.

After all, their attacks were nothing more than appetizers before the main course.

They already knew that there were a few among them that were stronger than the others.

It wasn’t just Ikki and Percival alone that had this power, there were two other heroes that had the same power. Both of them had light appear around their weapons when they suddenly swung them.

With the combined force of these four attacks, the Apostle’s defense just wasn’t enough. These attacks were on a completely different level as they pierced right through those defenses.

The Apostle that had been confident couldn’t react in time to put up more defenses or get out of the way before these attacks hit it.

The last thing that the Apostle thought when it was being ripped into four was, "How is this possible? How can these weak humans hurt me?"

Once the Apostle had been cut into four, those four pieces started to disappear as they broke up into dust. It seemed like the power of these attacks had been enough that they had completely purified the black ooze that was inside of the Apostle.

It seemed like they had a way to fight back against the Apostles that surrounded them.

However, the four that held these special weapons knew that this wasn’t the case.

All four of them were exhausted because of that one full power attack that they released.

The weapons that they used were relics that had been granted to them by god, which made them very powerful. The problem was that it also drained a lot of energy for them to use these relics.

Which meant that they weren’t able to use these relics again without resting up first.

It meant that they wouldn’t be able to take out anything to face the remaining Apostles that were here. That was unless they were willing to sacrifice lives to stall for time for them to rest.

Which was why it seemed like this was the only rebellion that they could put up.

However, they still made sure to show a strong face in front of the Apostles.

Even if they were already on their last legs, it wasn’t as if they wanted to make things easier for the Apostles.

These Apostles didn’t have the same experience as these older heroes, so they didn’t push forward. They suddenly took a step back and grouped up a bit more, as if they were on guard against what the heroes might do.

However, it didn’t take them long to figure out that the heroes didn’t have anything left.

When the heroes didn’t make any moves, it made it even more obvious.

Which was why the Apostles slowly regained their confidence from before.

They even started making fun of that one Apostle that had been taken care of.

It didn’t seem like there was any sense of unity among the Apostles at all.

It seemed like all of them only cared about themselves and no one else.

These Apostles really did symbolize the worst kinds of emotions out there.
