Chapter 680: Golden Lion.
Her hair was golden, and it was large enough to form a mane around her neck. Her arms were bulging with muscles and she had claws for nails. The claws were golden like her hair and so was her skin. All in all, she looked like a humanoid lion.
This wouldn’t be the first time he has seen this giant warrior. He had seen her before in the heavenly city when he fought the world king of a medium world and subdued that world.
The first time he saw her, he was just a mortal. It has been about 20 years since then. Now he has acquired the power needed to fight and even defeat her.
When she saw him, she didn’t know who he was. This wasn’t her fault, though. Practically no one would be able to recognize who he was since he was now a young man clad in red armor and red gauntlets made of fire.
She thought he was just passing by and was willing to ignore him. But then he suddenly threw his fist at her.
She found his actions absurd. She thought that it was absurd that some unknown fellow would dare to attack her.
After all, she knew everyone who was worth knowing. So if she didn’t know him, he was unlikely to be anyone of consequence.
So her brows were furrowed as he said, "Who are you? Do you know who I am?"
Loki smiled in response and said, "Of course, I know who you are? I knew your identity and came to you specifically for your identity."
When she heard what he said, her face relaxed somewhat, and she said, "So you are a fan of mine and want to spar with me. That is not unexpected."
Then she shook her head and said, "Unfortunately, I don’t have time to spar with you right now. I am too busy, so go away."
But Loki refused to leave. His fist continued to approach her face, which annoyed her.
His unruly and disrespectful behavior made her frown and say, "I said go away. If you don’t leave now, it will kill you."
As she spoke, she casually smacked his fist aside. She didn’t take the attack seriously at all. After all, he was a rank 6 divine being with only one Divine Position.
She, on the other hand, is an accomplished rank 7 cultivator with three Divine Positions and is working hard for her sect towards advancing to rank 8. So it was perfectly reasonable for her not to take him seriously.
But then his fist smashed into her head with so much force that her feet were lifted from the ground, and she was thrown away. She didn’t get far before the residual power of the punch caused her head to explode.
Without a face, she couldn’t display any facial expressions. So the shock she was feeling couldn’t be expressed.
Fortunately, she could still talk with mental fluctuations, so she was able to say, "What are you?"
Loki grinned as he said, "What am I? I am your biggest fan. I am also your most powerful fan."
As he said this, his figure flashed, and he appeared in front of her. Before her head could heal, another fist had smashed into her chest. The fire gauntlet on his hand exploded and tore a hole through her chest.
The force of the explosion was such that a plume of red fire came out from her back through the hole. The blow also knocked her to the ground.
As Loki fell onto her, he brandished his fist and smashed them one after the other. But then she roared at him. The roar caused the air in front of her face to vibrate, solidify into a wall, and slam into his face.
Her roar was created with one of her Divine Metacs, the Lion Roar Divine Metac. She even amplified the power of this Divine Metac with her other Divine Metacs, which are the Golden Lion’s Strength and the Lion’s Will Metac, to create an ultimate move.
This ultimate move is supposed to freeze the target’s mind and let her beat up her enemy easily. But it didn’t work on Loki, so she was the one who took a beating from him.
The fight between Loki and the rank 7 giant warrior lasted less than 10 minutes. In those 10 minutes, Loki drained her lifespan and killed her.
She thought that his strength was unreasonable and was unwilling to die like this. But she was also smart enough not to let this abnormal person gain access to her Cave Heaven.
So unlike the rank 6 swordsman, she didn’t let her body fall apart so that the battle could be moved into her Cave Heaven. She thought that the risk wasn’t worth it.
As she said, she memorized his appearance and said to herself, ’I will just lose some lifespan and some time. When I reincarnate, I will get back my Divine Positions and everything I lost. Then I will come for this fellow."
Then she said to Loki, "Your days are numbered. Even if you’re a rank 8 being, I will come for you and kill you."
Loki smiled and said in reply, "I will be waiting for that day."
Then he punched her face in.
This last punch took away her last shred of lifespan. Her Life Fire went out, and her body dispersed into dust.
After Loki was sure that she was dead, not faking death, he clapped his hands together and said, "Let us eat."
As he spoke, he summoned the Devouring Ability and used its force field to cover the whole area. Then he began using the devouring forcefield to pry open the spatial channel that connected the second heaven to her Cave Heaven.
While he was eating, the world was in turmoil. This was all because of the death of one of the strongest, if not the strongest, rank 7 cultivators under the rank 8 cultivators.
